Chocolate chip cookies are a classic comfort treat, and peanut butter cookies have their own devoted fan base, but finding both in one perfect bite is something special. These cookies bring the best of both worlds together: the nutty richness of creamy peanut butter and the melty sweetness of chocolate chips. They’re soft in the center, lightly crisp around the edges, and filled with that irresistible aroma that only homemade cookies can offer. If you’ve ever been torn between peanut butter or chocolate chip, this recipe is your delicious middle ground, no choosing required!
Ingredients
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup peanut butter
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt (coarse salt adds a nice crunch, but any will do)
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, and cream cheese until smooth.
Add brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla, and mix well.
Stir in flour, salt, and baking soda until fully incorporated.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Scoop dough onto the prepared cookie sheet. For a bakery-style look, press a few extra chocolate chips on topbefore baking.
Bake for 9 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cookies finish cooking on the baking sheet for 10 minutes.
Cool slightly… then enjoy warm with a cold glass of milk. 🥛🍪
